YTD Resizer Free FiveM .ytd texture resizer and oversized asset fixer

Drop a resource or a whole pack. See the exact physical memory the server reports for every texture dictionary, which textures cost the most, and the smallest set of downsizes to get under 16 MiB — then download the fixed .ytd, ready to replace the original.

Beta

This tool is in beta, so you may hit bugs or rough edges. If something breaks or looks wrong, please report it in the GXD Discord with what you did and a screenshot. Every report helps us fix it faster.

Drop .ytd files, or a folder / ZIP that holds them

Every texture dictionary is measured the way the FiveM server measures it, so you see the exact "uses N MiB of physical memory" number before the server does — then the fixed .ytd is written right here, ready to drop over the original.

  • Runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
  • Only the texture headers are decompressed for the report; pixels are touched only when you export.
  • Your files are never changed — the fixed .ytd (or a DDS ZIP for models) comes as a new download.

Everything runs in your browser. Your files never leave your computer.

Questions about YTD Resizer

What this free tool does, what it makes and how the files go into FiveM.

A .ytd is a GTA V texture dictionary: a container of DDS textures that models use for paint, interiors, lights and liveries. A car usually streams a .ytd named after its model, and .yft, .ydr and .ydd models can also carry textures embedded inside them. The YTD Resizer lists both kinds and what every texture costs in memory.

The server warns when a streamed file uses more than 16 MiB of physical memory, which is almost always textures. Drop the resource here: you see the same number the server prints, which textures cost the most and the smallest set of downsizes that brings each file under 16 MiB, or 8 MiB for big servers. Then download the fixed .ytd.

Not in place. A .ytd is rewritten here under the same name, ready to drop over the original, so keep a backup. Textures embedded in a .yft, .ydr or .ydd can't be rewritten in the browser, so for those you get a ZIP of resized DDS files to import with OpenIV or CodeWalker.

A little. Halving a texture's width and height cuts its memory to about a quarter, and on most car textures that is hard to see at normal distance. The tool plans the fewest downsizes that reach the budget, so the textures it doesn't need to touch keep their full size. Check the car up close in game afterwards.
