Loading & closing

Stays up until the player is in the world, keeps the game black underneath and the spinner off, then fades out and in — the default GTA loading screen never shows. Adds client.lua.

Advanced

Gives the page an https address, which may let YouTube play without the player page. Not tested on every client, and it breaks if the resource folder is renamed. README.txt says how to undo it.

Or when a script runs TriggerEvent('loadscreen:close').

How to install
  1. Unzip into your server's resources folder.
  2. Add ensure loadscreen near the top of server.cfg.
  3. Only one loading screen can run — remove any other resource with a loadscreen line in its fxmanifest.
  4. Optional: hide the corner spinner with setr sv_showBusySpinnerOnLoadingScreen false.
  5. Using a character selector? Pick "When a character selector takes over" under Loading & closing.

Everything runs in your browser — your pictures, video and music never leave your computer until you put the resource on your server.

Questions

Questions about Loading Screen Builder

What this free tool does, what it makes and how the files go into FiveM.

Choose pictures, a video or a YouTube background, add your logo, music, tips and a progress bar, and watch it load in the preview. Download the resource, put the folder in resources, add ensure with its name to server.cfg and restart. Its fxmanifest uses loadscreen 'index.html', the page FiveM shows while players join.

Yes. While the game starts, FiveM sends a loading screen its own load events and progress values, and the bar follows them. The preview replays the same messages in the same order, so what you see in the browser is how the screen behaves when a player joins your server.

Every player downloads it before it can show, and FiveM's own screen stays up until it arrives, so keep it small. The tool shows the resource size, warns above 15 MB and flags anything over 40 MB. Compress the video and pictures, or use a YouTube background, which isn't part of the download.

Yes, with manual shutdown: the fxmanifest then sets loadscreen_manual_shutdown, and the screen stays until a client script calls ShutdownLoadingScreenNui(). The exported resource fades the screen out before closing it and has a fallback, so players are not left stuck behind it.
