UV Template Free GTA UV map exporter for liveries and textures
Open a vehicle, clothing or prop model and export the UV layout of every texture it uses — on the UV channel the shader actually reads — as PNG or SVG to paint over.
This tool is in beta, so you may hit bugs or rough edges. If something breaks or looks wrong, please report it in the GXD Discord with what you did and a screenshot. Every report helps us fix it faster.
Model
Vehicles (.yft) list their paint and livery maps; clothing (.ydd) and weapons / props (.ydr) list every material on every UV channel.
Everything runs in your browser. Your models never leave your computer.
Questions about UV Template
What this free tool does, what it makes and how the files go into FiveM.
Open the car's .yft with its .ytd, pick the paint texture and export its UV layout as PNG or SVG at up to 8192 pixels. Paint over it in Photoshop, GIMP or Paint.NET on a layer above the template, then hide the template and save your livery.
It depends on the model and its shader, which is why a template from the wrong channel doesn't line up. UV Template exports the layout on the channel the shader actually reads — UV0, UV1 or UV2 — so your artwork lands where the game draws the texture.
Yes. For clothing (.ydd) and props or weapons (.ydr), every material on every UV channel is listed with a thumbnail. Tick several to see them together, export each as PNG or SVG, or all of them as a ZIP. Vehicles show their paint textures only.
